“For The Rats is a project I started when I began attending Parsons School of Design in New York City. Growing up my Mom, brother and we didn’t have alot. I grew up in goverment subsidised housing in rural Pennsylvania. I was homeschooled and raised Mormon. It was an extremely strange and excentric upbringing that created a lot of resilience and character. Everything was felt deeply; love and pain.
Once I left home decided to leave my faith and Mormon practice and try to attend school for the first time, I felt a terrible sense of unbelonging. That’s when I made this work.”
